PhD Student

Vanderbilt University

I am a first-year PhD student in the Clinical Science program at Vanderbilt University. I recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a dual degree in Psychology and Global Studies.

In my role as program coordinator at the Medical University of South Carolina, I developed a research program investigating whether Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation was a promising and safe treatment for mild cognitive impairment. I chose this role for exposure in psychophysiological and neuroimaging methodologies to further advance my research interests in integrating MRI, brain stimulation, and ecological momentary assessment of physiological arousal using wearable technology in scientific research.

My ultimate goal is to pursue a career in research and clinical science that helps to address disparities in measurement, diagnosis, and treatment across racial/ethnic groups with clinical high-risk disorders. I also hope to increase the representation and visibility of Middle Eastern and North African populations in clinical research.
